WHO I WORK WITH
I am deeply committed to supporting children and adolescents through their developmental stages, providing them with tools to navigate challenges and achieve emotional well-being. I specialize in helping children and adolescents facing various issues such as academic stress, emotional difficulties, behavioral challenges, trauma, ADHD, anxiety, depression, grief, and identity exploration.
I also work closely with families to strengthen relationships, improve communication, and navigate transitions. I understand the complexities of family dynamics and offer support to address conflicts, build resilience, and promote positive interactions. My goal is to empower families to create nurturing environments where every member can thrive.
MY APPROACH
I believe in creating a warm, non-judgmental space where clients feel safe, heard, and valued. My therapeutic style is collaborative, strengths-based, client centered, and rooted in empathy. I emphasize cultivating a strong therapeutic relationship and strive to empower clients to discover their resilience and navigate life's challenges with confidence.
My therapeutic toolbox includes evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, Art Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Techniques. My approach is trauma informed and is always tailored to meet the unique needs and strengths of each client as I don’t believe in a “one-size-fits-all” approach to healing.
MY BACKGROUND
I was born and raised in the Bay Area and have had a passion for supporting Bay Area Youth for as long as I can remember. Initially, I worked with a Non-Profit Organization to teach science and conservation based workshops as well as peer mentorship and leadership training. Eventually I knew in my heart that I needed to pursue a degree in psychology in order to provide a deeper level of support for students in my community. I worked to earn my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco (CIIS). At CIIS I studied holistic and evidence-based practices to support individuals and families in overcoming their challenges. I have several years of clinical experience providing individual, group, and family therapy for students K-12 in a school based setting. My education and experience have equipped me with a deep understanding of trauma and its impact on development, as well as effective strategies for fostering resilience and promoting emotional well-being.
WHY I LOVE THIS WORK
Being a therapist is more than just a profession to me; it's a calling rooted in my deep passion for supporting and empowering youth during pivotal moments in their lives. For me, there isn’t anything more rewarding than to witness the growth and resilience of my clients as they navigate through life’s challenges. It’s the greatest privilege to walk alongside youth and their families on their journeys of healing, growth, and transformation, and I am grateful every day for the opportunity to make a positive difference in their lives.
A BIT MORE ABOUT ME...
Outside of my work, I have a deep love for nature and adventure. I find solace and inspiration in hiking and exploring California’s beautiful beaches and redwoods. Connecting with nature rejuvenates me and allows me to bring a renewed energy and perspective to my therapeutic practice.
I also have a passion for animals and enjoy spending time with my own personal zoo of rescue pets. Whether it's going on an adventure with my sweet rescue dog, fostering a few puppies, or observing wildlife in their natural habitats, animals bring me joy and remind me of the importance of compassion and connection in all aspects of life.
Additionally, I am an artist at heart. I find creative expression to be a powerful form of self-care and exploration. Painting and exploring different artistic mediums allow me to tap into my creativity and cultivate a sense of balance and fulfillment outside of my professional life.
